Terms of Service
The agreement between you (the merchant) and WAWCD when using this Shopify app. Last updated: August 2026.
The service
WAWCD sends transactional WhatsApp messages for your Shopify store based on automations you configure: order confirmation, payment, shipping, delivery, cancellation and refund updates through a QR-linked WhatsApp account.
Your responsibilities
- Before enabling an automation, obtain every customer permission required by law and WhatsApp in your and the recipient's jurisdictions. WAWCD does not independently verify permission from Shopify order data.
- Keep your message content accurate and non-deceptive; comply with WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies.
- Monitor the linked WhatsApp account for stop requests. Replies are not imported automatically; add each request promptly and contact WAWCD support if suppression assistance is needed. Recipients can also use the opt-out link included in every automated message.
- The connection relies on a linked WhatsApp device and can disconnect or be restricted by WhatsApp. Keep the linked phone/account active and use reasonable messaging volumes.
Free service
WAWCD currently provides this Shopify app at no charge. There is no subscription fee, usage charge, trial, paid upgrade, credit purchase, external checkout or payment-method requirement. All features shown in the app are included.
Data processing terms
For personal data submitted through Shopify, the merchant is the controller or business and appoints WAWCD as its processor or service provider. WAWCD processes that data only on the merchant's documented instructions to provide configured transactional order notifications, operate suppression, show activity, secure the service and answer verified privacy requests. WAWCD does not sell this data or use it for advertising.
The merchant authorizes the subprocessors named in the Privacy Policy for hosting, database services, Shopify integration and WhatsApp delivery. WAWCD applies the published retention schedule, restricts access, uses encrypted network connections, assists with customer requests and deletes local shop data after Shopify's verified shop-redaction event. The merchant must notify WAWCD promptly of a privacy request or security concern and must not instruct WAWCD to process data unlawfully.
Fair use and service availability
WAWCD does not currently impose a monthly message allowance or an active-template cap. WhatsApp, the linked account, the delivery provider and supporting infrastructure may still apply technical, quality, anti-spam, throughput or account restrictions. One-time test tools use short-window rate limits to prevent abuse. We may temporarily restrict abusive or disruptive traffic when necessary to protect merchants and service availability.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". WAWCD is not liable for indirect damages, WhatsApp policy actions against your number, or delivery failures outside our control, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
